Energy and the Environment IT Day 2011
AFCEA Bethesda and AFCEA Energy teamed to host the second Energy and the Environment IT Day on May 4, 2011, at the Bethesda North Marriott and Conference Center. This full-day conference brought together more than 300 senior executives and IT professionals from across industry and federal agencies such as Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, General Services Administration and Department of Defense. The goals of this event were to foster better inter-agency communication among key stakeholders, share valuable lessons learned and best practices, identify mission-critical IT issues and spotlight programs and trends to address and improve the Administration’s energy efficiency and national security initiatives.
